Golfing The 3G Way

Mention of 3G in an era of 5G and upcoming 6G? Sounds obsolete!

Well, we are talking of another 3G! Three generations golfing together. Now what do you say?

Ghumakkad has been blessed to play a round of golf- the 3G way. It was in California in the summer of 2025 that my grandson, son-in-law and myself played together for the first time. You may browse the following picture story to feel that first-time excitement.

3G Again

The 3G Way happened again in June 2026, and this time in India. We were fortunate to play together. And our 11-year-old grandson also joined us in Secunderabad. Sharing below few pictures of 3G-golfing.

Fellow golfers in India would know that we can afford the luxury of a caddie. Hiring a caddie on golf courses abroad costs a bomb. On a scorching summer afternoon, we had to protect Naman with a golf umbrella. 

But with the windy conditions, he found it difficult to handle the large umbrella. His caddie offered to hold the umbrella as well. See the short video below courtesy Ankur .

Our eldest grandson Ansh, who goes to IIM Shillong later this week and is not an early riser, also joined us for a nine-holes walk the next day. That is the power of golf! Few more pictures below.
