Rolling Pin and Golf Club

"The way to a man's heart is through his stomach" goes the old proverb. Simply stated it means that cooking food for a man is a good way to win his affections. What about the way to a woman's heart? Ghumakkad has a take on this. "The way to a woman's heart is through her kitchen"! Sounds silly? You can try it out! Of course many guys may also say that the way to a woman's heart is through shopping! But it is the kitchen- take it from me.

Kitchen is fine but what do you do if you don't know how to cook? Learn to cook buddy. Never mind if you have been married for 42 years and haven't entered the kitchen except for leaving your soiled plates. You are never too old to learn! This is exactly what happened to me the other day. 

With a frozen shoulder, Neeta was in pain trying to roll the dough for making savouries and snacks for our upcoming travel. Ghumakkad jumped in and confidently held the rolling pin. To do what? I took a deep breath and recalled the golf pro's lessons 25 years ago on how to hold a golf club. Not too firm but not loose either. I did the same with the rolling pin. Thereafter, it was smooth sailing. Rolled the dough and cut the pieces for frying- all by myself! Big job- eh! And thus I found the way to my woman's heart albeit after 42 years! So you guys, what are you waiting for?

Being an engineer, has some plus points. Such as slicing the dough in straight cuts and parallel lines. See the picture.
