Birds of Goa

As a finale to Ghumakkad's recent Goa visit, this post brings you some of the birds of Goa. Sighted on the morning of 5th February 2017, credit for the pictures goes to Mrs Mohini Paroolkar who gave me a car ride. The wetland at Maina Curtorim in Salcette taluka of South Goa district is a heaven for water birds. Though a bit far from the camera, the locale was most captivating. Pictures.










Noticed the plastic water bottle dumped in the lake? Most irresponsible!





 Only sad part of birding outing was presence of plastic garbage in the wetland. See the picture below.
Before it is too late, we need to clean up the Church lake and prevent further dumping of garbage by the visitors.
