Blue skies bring a smile. A serene feeling. Peace. Whether on land or up in the air. Or, even in a lake. Blue skies enliven the onlooker. Moreover if you are in a pristine place like Ladakh!
Sharing below a few pictures, all raw and unprocessed, which justify the title. Ghumakkad is in Leh and these pictures were taken while we were flying over the Zanskar ranges in Ladakh. Followed by few pictures shot in Leh.
The Blue skies as you rise above the clouds.
Ansh, my grandson catching his sleep on the flight. We had travelled overnight from Hyderabad. As we climb higher, few of the Himalayan peaks jut out of the clouds at a distance.
Few more snow capped peaks show their crown!
As get closer to Leh, more snowy crowns come closer...
Dear Cmde Harsh sir, Thanks for sharing breathtaking views of the Himalayas and the serene blue skies.
ReplyDeleteBrought back memories of our visit to Leh & Ladakh, I think in 2017.
Look forward to more photos and stories from Leh.
Please acclimatise yourself well and take care.
I remember that during our visit to Leh, at Army posts they would check BP and Oxygen levels and give us Jam paani or condensed milk paani and make us drink it along with the refreshments. Tea would follow later.
I found the Army, down to jawan are very generous and it was great interacting with them.
Enjoy your trip.
Warm regards - Kishor
Beautiful & scenic view of mountains, the ‘Himalayas’. Reminds of the younger trekking days with HMI Darjeeling & WHMI Manali besides NIM Uttarkashi. Good old days of trekking and exploring the mountains as well as ‘self endurance’ in most trying moments. Best wishes for your memorable trip.
ReplyDeleteSuper Sir waiting for full story to evolve

ReplyDeleteA beauty
ReplyDeleteImmense thanks for these vibrant, breath taking pictures, Dear Harsh Sir!
ReplyDeleteThese too are reminiscences of my "Leh Tenure" during 1989-91, the Signal Unit located across the road, North of airport.
Am glad that Chi Amsh also is with you. Enjoy the trip.
You may see a phenomenon there, if sky is clear, you feel the sky has descended expressing it's happiness for, you are there. The stars look much, much bigger, and vastly brighter with pure blue sky background. Am not sure if camera can discern the difference!
Warm regards,
The foregoing is from S Rangaiah.
