Shown in KBG-36.
Grows wild.
All over.
Everybody said it is a grass.
But no one could give the correct name.
What is the correct answer to Kaun Banega Ghumakkad KBG-36?
It is Swollen Finger Grass or just Finger Grass having the scientific name Chloris Barbata. Once again, the credit for this research goes to Dr Chitra Shanker.
Many of you answered Couch Grass, Foxtail Grass, Crab Grass and Goose Grass. See the pictures below highlighting the difference.
Although no correct answer came, one reader messaged within a few minutes at night that he will produce the grass next morning. He kept his word and brought a sample of Swollen Finger Grass. Full marks to Col Avinash Tiwari for being a regular and active KBG-Participant.
For the extra effort taken by Col Tiwari, we declare him the sole winner. Congratulations.
As we had said that this grass grows everywhere. Here is a picture taken on the roadside.
More KBGs will follow. But before that we have few more stories to cheer you up while working from home.
Stay home stay safe.
Stay connected.
