'Management Education- Rethink or Perish' A Seminar for Heads of B-schools

Management Education- Rethink or Perish
This post is not about a physical journey. But a journey which I like the most-- sharing our knowledge. Yes, this is a one-day seminar for heads of B-Schools in India. Faced with the crisis of poor demand for management programs, only those B-schools will survive which can innovate and change. What are these innovations? What changes to adopt? What does the industry expect from a b-school graduate?

To find the answers, go ahead and participate in the seminar.

Further details given below:

Management Education- Rethink or Perish
Need for Innovation and Change
A Seminar for Heads of B-Schools
22nd Nov 2012 Hyderabad
With Government’s thrust on higher education, number of management institutes has grown from less than 900 to more than 3,500 in last 8 years or so. Correspondingly, the number of seats have also quadrupled from 90,000 to more than 3,50,000 per year. This year, more than 1,00,000 seats have gone vacant with no takers. 250 management institutes have already closed down. Management education is thus experiencing a massive churn in India. This crisis is driven by many factors such as economic sluggishness, poor quality of management graduates as well as lack of realignment with the needs of the Industry. Only those B-schools will survive the tide which can adapt to this change.
This seminar addresses the following issues:
  • To examine the reasons and nature of this crisis
  • To discuss and evolve a strategy to deal with this change in a pro-active manner
